Escape From Prism
A new exploration into the Light which casts the shadow but now it is the Deeper Light, a Spectral Light, which gives rise to a New Dimension of the Shadow
The "Escape from Prism" series refers to the artist's exploration of new dimensions of shadow beyond the traditional black and white shadows, the “Spectral Shadow”. The use of the word "prism" in this context may refer to the concept of dispersion, where a prism separates white light into its component colors.
It is possible that the artist is using the metaphor of a prism to represent the constraints and limitations of traditional shadow art, and their desire to break free from these limitations and explore new dimensions of color and light in shadow creation.
Alternatively, the title "Escape from Prism" may have a more literal interpretation, where the artist is using the idea of a prism to represent confinement or restriction, and the artworks in the series represent a desire to escape from these limitations and explore new creative possibilities.
This spectral series is dedicated to my dear cousin Frank Ferrante for being able to sculpt words as I do shadows.
